  • Managing a large pipeline of 150+ candidates, ensuring candidates are put through their Army application as quickly as possible, to achieve quarterly targets.
  • Engaging with schools and colleges conducting careers fairs, mock interviews, face to face enquiries and presentations to increase applications.
  • Hitting 2020-2021 target, and in line with the rest of the region for 2021 – 2022 targets despite having a smaller pipeline of candidates.

Key responsibilities included

  • Being a strong member of a fitter section in a busy and high demand Air Defence Battery, always ensuring a high readiness by well planned maintenance, repairs and inspections are carried out without delay.
  • Mentoring lower-level class tradesmen.
  • Deploying on exercise or operations as the fleet subject matter expert and the point of contact for making engineering/fleet decisions.
  • Maintaining a fleet of tanks and Land Rovers in Estonia for 6 months as the lone vehicle mechanic maintaining a “war fit” status throughout tour of duty.
